The Beginning.

Romance novels always remind me of old ladies sitting in the tub reading them. Not something that a girl in her early 20s would read. They were books you averted your eyes from in the grocery store, because it was sex just sitting there out in the open. However in a moment of weakness and literary sparsity I bought one from the local grocery store. I felt quite ashamed of myself and tried to hide it from the other customer, much like you do with tampons, condoms, lube, and pregnancy tests. (Your not alone if you feel this way. Check out the beginning of this interview with Felicia Day.)

So I began the novel.... and didn't look up for the next couple hours. It was like a great chick flick movie rolled up with a little tasteful porn and a Jane Austen novel. A great combination that got me hooked on the genre.

I am now writing my own romance novel with the hopes of getting it published someday! It is not going to be a straight forward journey, and its not all going to be about writing because so much of out inspirations come from out side sources. That said I do hope you learn a bit from my experiences and I would love to learn about yours. So sit down, drink some wine and look at my thoughts and adventures as I work on this project. Contact me if you find something interesting and I'll add it to the site. Also let me know what you think on my blog posts!

I have also included some links that I have found useful and references to books written by romance novelist about the genre and the various stereotypes surrounding it. All of these links and reviews are unsolicited by the original authors and
